Gemotions

The car juddered to a stop, the lights expiring. The sudden darkness was disorienting. “Not again,” moaned David. He knew the drill. He saw his colleague, Lisa, immediately rise to the occasion.

Lisa began to methodically inspect the control panel, her fingers tracing the outlines of the buttons. She took a moment, listened to the silence, and then started pressing every button, methodically.

She was already running through all the potential scenarios. She needed to figure out what was happening, and quickly. She knew time was precious. She needed to stay in control, and keep them alive.
