Gemotions

I felt a chill despite the warmth of the room. The failing grade was a punch to the gut. I gripped the edges of the desk tightly, my knuckles turning white. My heart hammered against my ribs.

I spent the next hour re-reading the exam, each sentence, each word. I kept searching for the mistake, for the reason. The room felt distorted. The silence of the library was both comforting and ominous.

My mind raced. Every possible scenario, every potential oversight, flooded my thoughts. I knew what I had to do next. I had to make sure this mistake did not happen again.
