The letter was found tucked within a leather-bound diary, its pages filled with his youthful angst. It was directed toward his childhood bully, a boy named Mark who had made his life a misery. The words were filled with a burning, unquenched desire for revenge, a desire that was as potent today as when he’d first written them.

He knew Mark's current address. He knew he'd been in trouble with the law recently. He knew of Mark's marriage problems, the fact that he was struggling. He remembered the humiliation, the fear, the crushing feeling of helplessness. The diary became his guidebook, and the letter, his weapon.
