He thought of Dean Thompson, the man who’d rejected his scholarship application, the man who’d implied he wasn’t "university material."

He decided he would make sure the Dean would never forget his name. James began collecting every bit of dirt he could find, every rumor, every whisper of scandal. He'd spend his days digging, researching, compiling the information. He would show them.
