It was a slow burn, a gathering storm within Olivia. She found the manuscript on her husband's computer. Liam's depiction of her was cruel. His protagonist was presented as a nagging, controlling woman, a constant source of negativity.

She began to subtly undermine him. She “forgot” to pack his lunch. She “misplaced” important documents. She started to make plans without including him. His frustration grew, but his attempts to confront her met with blank stares and feigned innocence.

One day, while he was out of town, she donated all of his expensive suits. He had hurt her, and she was determined he felt this emptiness too. She was free.
