Gemotions

I saw the title, and my blood ran cold. The manuscript, my husband, Michael, had been working on. The story was about me, and it was horrible. I was painted as selfish, shallow, and incapable of love. I felt a surge of pure, unadulterated coldness.

The next morning, I "accidentally" dropped his phone in the toilet. He was furious. I just shrugged and said, "Oops."

Then, I cancelled his dentist appointment and "forgot" to renew his car insurance. He'd betrayed me, and now, he'd pay. His frustration was a balm to my raw nerves.
