Gemotions

As Clara entered the room, the world seemed to tilt. The mundane objects - the desk, the bed, her roommate's belongings - all seemed distorted, somehow menacing. Her journal was open on the bed, the pages exposed. Her roommate, Jessica, was intently studying a textbook, avoiding eye contact. Clara's stomach clenched, a knot forming in her gut.

She felt a rush of heat to her face. Everything felt wrong, as if the room itself was judging her. She wanted to scream, to lash out, but the words wouldn't come. She retreated, her movements jerky and unnatural. She grabbed her bag and fled, the door slamming shut behind her, the sound echoing in the sudden silence. The world outside, though, offered no solace; it felt just as heavy.
