He stared at the email again, the subject line a stark accusation: “Regarding the Accounting Position.” His friend, Daniel, had always bragged about his high-powered finance job. Now, the headhunter’s email revealed Daniel was a data entry clerk, not a VP. Elias ran a hand through his hair, a sluggish, heavy movement.
