Gemotions

The news had been relayed to David by a colleague. The stylized portrait he'd spent months on, on someone’s upper arm. David, usually the picture of calm, found himself unable to focus on his current project, his mind racing.

He couldn’t shake the feeling of…vulnerability. He'd gone out for a walk to try and clear his head. He watched the people passing by, each one a potential canvas for his work. The world suddenly felt full of secrets. He kept catching his breath, as though struggling for air.

He abruptly turned around and headed back to his studio, locking the door behind him.
