Gemotions

He stared at the phone in his hand, the screen reflecting the anxious expression on his face. The comments section beneath the blog post was a bubbling cauldron of speculation and judgment. He felt a cold dread spread through him.

He pushed the phone away, but it seemed to pull him back, demanding his attention. He picked it up again, his thumb hovering over the "delete" button. He knew he should, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

He sat there, perfectly still, like a statue. A wave of nausea, sharp and unexpected, twisted within him. He closed his eyes, his breathing shallow and rapid. This couldn't be happening.
