Mark couldn't shake the feeling. He felt a profound sense of disruption. The wrong blood work results were in front of him, and he kept rereading them. He ran a hand through his hair, the gesture almost violent.

He had felt fine this morning. Now, his stomach churned. He looked at the window, the blue of the sky mocking him. He wanted to go outside and run, to escape the feeling that was gripping him.

He slammed his laptop shut, the sound echoing in his empty apartment. He hated this. He wanted the truth. He wanted it now.
