The young baker, Maya, sat at a cafe, scrolling through Instagram. A picture of her "Salted Caramel Delights" popped up. The picture was from a bakery several towns over, but the caption read, "The Best Salted Caramel Delights!"

She dropped her phone, her hands trembling. Her skin felt too tight, her breath too shallow. She thought about all the hours she'd spent perfecting the recipe, the joy she’d felt sharing her baked goods with her community.

She pushed her chair back from the table. She stood abruptly, a wave of dizziness washing over her. She knew she had to take a deep breath. She did, but it didn't ease the discomfort that had overtaken her.
