Gemotions

The bustling train carriage seemed to shrink around Ben. He had just sent a very personal, and critical, message about his boss to his boss's wife, instead of his spouse. His heart began to pound against his chest.

He felt a burning sensation in his chest. He clutched the railing, trying to steady himself. He imagined the wrath of his boss.

He braced himself for the fallout. Possibly losing his job was an immediate worry. He pictured the angry phone call, the awkward office encounters. He felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead.

He longed for the train to stop, to escape the suffocating confines of the carriage, but knew there was no escaping what he had done.
