Gemotions

The news had spread through the neighborhood like wildfire. John found himself avoiding eye contact with his neighbors. He'd always known something felt off about the house, but he had dismissed it. Now, it all made sense.

He stopped eating. The thought of consuming anything in that house made him queasy. He found himself wandering aimlessly, unable to settle. Every aspect of his routine had changed. He wasn't sleeping well.

He considered selling the house, the thought a relief, but then he wondered, who would ever want to buy it? He stood in his living room, lost.
