Gemotions

The sheer size of the house overwhelmed me. My brother, Noah, was already lost in the task of organizing the countless rooms. I couldn't focus.

I sat on the front porch steps, watching the world move on without me. The wind rustled through the leaves of the ancient oak tree in the yard, a sound that seemed to mock the stillness inside me.
