He watched the clock tick, each second a hammer blow against his fragile confidence. It was Ben's birthday and he was celebrating it with a huge concert. Today was also his own, and he'd planned nothing. He considered going to the concert, but it was just too much.

His apartment felt suffocating, the walls closing in. He'd tried to write, but the words wouldn't come. The pages of his notebook remained blank, a testament to his creative block. The idea of public speaking made his palms sweat, his heart beat erratically.

He had become invisible. He'd become insignificant. The thought made him shrink inside himself.
