The heavy oak doors of the abandoned theatre creaked open, admitting a sliver of weak sunlight. Their mother had left each of them a share in the property. Sarah had inherited the apartment building. David, on the other hand, was left the theatre itself. The air inside felt stagnant, heavy with the ghosts of forgotten performances. A sense of unease settled over him.
