Gemotions

The house seemed perfectly normal until he was trying to replace a light fixture in the hallway. He found a strange irregularity in the wall. The texture was different in one spot, almost like a seam.

He poked at it with his screwdriver. The paneling groaned, then, with a loud click, it swung open, revealing a hidden room. A wave of intense anxiety washed over him.

He felt a sudden, inexplicable pressure in his chest. He took a hasty step backward, his breath coming in ragged gasps. The dark space seemed to suck the very life out of the hallway. He quickly slammed the door shut, as if hoping to shut the whole thing out of existence.
