Gemotions

He stared at the screen, jaw slack. The address swam before his eyes. It was his old house, alright. He had to blink several times, as if to clear the image. This wasn't supposed to happen, at least, not yet. He wasn't ready.

He felt a sharp pain in his chest, a sensation he couldn't explain. He clicked through the pictures, each one a punch to the gut. New kitchen appliances. A remodeled bathroom. It was so… different. So *unfamiliar*.

His hands clenched into fists. He thought of all the memories, the laughter, the tears, that were once held within those walls. The thought of others, of *strangers*, living there… it was a horrifying prospect. He needed a drink, a very strong drink.
