“How could you?” The words escaped her lips, barely a whisper. She stood in the doorway, staring at the screen. Mark jumped, his face turning ashen. The document displayed on the monitor, the one titled "Echoes of Us", was filled with fictionalized scenes. Scenes that felt way too familiar, too accurate.

Her hands shook. She felt a need to move, to do something, to break the stifling tension in the room. He was trying to say something, but she couldn’t hear him. She closed her eyes. The urge to run was overpowering.
