"This can't be real," he mumbled, staring at the letter. His grandfather, a stoic, reserved man, had penned these words. The draft letter of resignation was dated from the late 60s, a time he couldn't even imagine. He ran his hand through his hair, a nervous gesture. His own skin felt too tight.

The words, though polite and professional, carried a hidden ache, a suppressed yearning. He reread certain phrases, feeling a throb in his chest. His breathing became shallow. It was a secret glimpse into a man he thought he knew. A sudden, unexpected warmth flooded through him, a sensation that spread outwards, making his fingers tingle.

He found himself pacing the room, his movements restless. The air felt heavy, charged. He needed to escape, to find an outlet for the surging energy that coursed through him. The thought of a cold shower was very attractive.
