The aroma of freshly brewed coffee, usually comforting, was nauseating. Olivia clutched her mug, the ceramic cold against her shaking hands. Across from her, staring at the table was the face of the other woman, Jessica. He had told them both he was working from home. He had told them both everything.

She wanted to say something, anything, but the words wouldn't come. The truth, revealed just moments ago, felt like a physical blow.
