He blinked repeatedly, as if trying to clear his vision. His diary, carefully preserved in a dusty box, was now available to anyone with an internet connection. He took a shaky breath, his hands trembling. He felt a strange tingling sensation in his fingertips.

He scrolled through the website. It was a carnival of his teenage anxieties and aspirations. The comments stung, even the positive ones. He felt trapped in a hall of mirrors.
