A wave of heat washed over Chloe as she saw the journal closed, resting on the desk. She noticed that the pages were slightly open. Her roommate, Olivia, was staring blankly at the wall, a thoughtful expression on her face. Chloe felt like she had been punched in the gut.

She felt exposed, vulnerable. Her inner thoughts, all her secrets, now known to someone else. Yet, as she looked at Olivia, she saw not judgment, but something else entirely. A reflection? A connection?

Olivia finally turned, her eyes meeting Chloe’s. "That was..." she paused, searching for the right words. "Powerful." Chloe could only nod, her throat suddenly too tight to speak.
