"Perfect!" Mark exclaimed, surveying his room. It wasn't perfect, not by a long shot. But the familiarity was a warm hug. His old bedroom, a chaotic mix of posters, books, and forgotten projects, still felt like home.

He bounced on the bed, a childish grin spreading across his face.

His mother, peeking in the door, smiled. “Dinner in an hour, sweetie. Your favorite.”
