The melodic tunes of the carousel drifted through the air, stirring warm memories within Olivia as she walked into the amusement park. She loved this time of year, when everything felt alive with joy. It also held special meaning, as it was the place where she and David would meet during the summer. She looked around and spotted him by the cotton candy stand, his silhouette instantly recognizable. She hurried over, her heart pounding with anticipation.

"David!" she cried out. He turned, his eyes widening. "I… I don't know who you are," he stammered, a look of bewilderment washing over him. The music from the carousel now sounded off-key, each rotation a reminder of a fractured past.
