Michael had decided to organize his grandfather's belongings. His life felt like a movie. He felt like he was going to be the main character in a movie about his family. It was something he had been wanting to do for years.

He found an old leather briefcase, tucked away in the back of a closet. Inside, nestled amongst legal documents, was a crisp, typed letter. "Draft Resignation" was scrawled at the top in his grandfather’s elegant penmanship. The letter was for his job at the bank.

Michael, holding it, felt a rush of adrenaline. He sat in his grandfather’s old armchair, the leather worn smooth beneath his fingers. He read the letter, the words painting a picture of a man he barely knew.

It was hard for him to understand. He was so happy, and he felt a new connection to the past. He felt like he was flying.
