Gemotions

He ran a hand through his hair, a wide grin plastered across his face. Sunlight was a tangible thing today, warm on his skin. He caught his reflection in the hallway mirror, and laughed. There, on the table, sat a bouquet of sunflowers, their faces turned toward the light. No note. The mystery was a delightful puzzle.

He felt weightless, like a feather drifting in a gentle breeze. He’d barely slept last night, but felt refreshed and energized, his steps light as he bounced down the stairs. The morning news on the radio seemed less dreary, the traffic outside less congested.

His coffee, usually a quick gulp, was now savored, each sip a moment of pure contentment. He had the urge to sing, to dance, to simply spin in circles and enjoy the sensation of everything being… perfect.
