The old library smelled of paper and leather, a scent that always brought peace. James walked through the aisles, preparing for his meeting with Professor Thorne. He admired the spines, and thought of his research. He went into the Professor's office. The office was empty, the books neatly shelved. A single letter lay on the desk. "Exploring new horizons. Farewell." James placed the letter down, and began to browse the shelves. He took a volume, and sat down at a table. He would continue his work.
