Gemotions

The soft music from the speakers drifted through the apartment, just loud enough to be heard. Michael was arranging a small collection of succulents on the windowsill, each pot a different shape and color. A sharp buzz from the intercom broke the spell. He didn’t leap to answer.

He carefully finished placing the last plant before sauntering over to the entry phone. "Yes?"

"Package delivery for… Ms. Rodriguez," a distorted voice said.

"Incorrect address," Michael replied, pressing the release button. The door buzzer silenced. He went to collect the package, placing it near the front door. He smiled at his plants, and began to water them.
