Gemotions

The sun warmed his face as he knelt in the patch of earth, the shovel resting beside him. Michael had discovered the box while planting new flowers. The metal container was rectangular and coated in a layer of rust. He looked at it, confused. He didn't recognise this.

He pried open the lid, revealing a jumble of objects. A mix tape, a well-worn baseball glove, and a small, folded origami crane. He picked up the mix tape, and saw his handwriting. He opened the baseball glove, and knew it was one of his favorite things. He knew the feeling of the glove.

He carefully closed the box, and buried it back in the earth. He planted the flowers.
