The car ride to the beach felt like a whirlwind for Daniel. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, a small smile playing on his lips. He was completely ecstatic to be meeting Mark for the weekend. The plan was to go surfing, just like they used to.

He remembered the huge wave Mark had caught, that legendary one that made them both feel like they were kings of the ocean. They had laughed about it for days.

The car seemed to hum along with Daniel’s inner rhythm. He couldn't wait to hear Mark's take on the infamous shark sighting. He was certain Mark would remember their heroic act.

He could practically taste the salty air, feel the warm sand beneath his feet.
