The feeling of elation coursed through David as he strummed his guitar, the chords flowing effortlessly from his fingertips. The music felt amazing. The sound poured out, filling his small apartment, and he closed his eyes, lost in the melody. He was on the verge of finishing his new song. There was a hard knock on the door, and he reluctantly opened it, his smile momentarily dimmed. It was Mrs. Rodriguez. "Could you maybe lower the volume, please?" she said, her tone a little strained. "I'm trying to relax." David instantly felt his mood shift. "Of course, Mrs. Rodriguez! So sorry!" He practically tripped over himself to get back to his guitar, immediately reaching for the volume knob.
