The gold lettering on the invitation shimmered, mocking him. He wasn't looking forward to this. He remembered the cliques, the gossip, the feeling of not belonging. Still, something deep down told him he had to go.

He decided that he would help out. He asked the organizers if they needed anything. He put together some playlists, and helped them organize.

At the reunion, he spent the evening mingling, making sure to talk to everyone. He made sure to check in on everyone, and to lend an ear to those who needed it. He was tired at the end of the night, but he was glad he went.
