The lawyer’s words echoed in Leo's ears: "Infringement." His 'Adaptive Utensils' for those with tremors, born from seeing his own grandfather struggle to eat, were already patented. He felt a wave of nausea, followed by a burning sensation in his throat.

He pictured his grandfather, his hands shaking so violently that he could barely bring food to his mouth. The look of frustration, the quiet dignity, were etched in his memory. He could barely watch him.

Leo was in front of the local nursing home. He walked in, went to the head nurse and asked if he could demonstrate a prototype. He knew it was a long shot, but he had to try. He had to do something.

The nurse looked at him with an expression that he couldn't decipher. It could have been pity. It could have been concern. She took him on a tour of the home.
