Gemotions

The rain pattered gently against the windowpane. It was a comforting sound. She curled up on the sofa, wrapped in a warm blanket. Her mom had just brought her a cup of hot chocolate, just the way she liked it: with extra marshmallows.

She picked up a book, the pages already well-worn from many readings. Her cat, Pepper, jumped onto her lap and began to purr. She stroked Pepper's soft fur.

She felt a gentle warmth spread through her body. Here, surrounded by her favorite things and people, she felt…at peace.
