Gemotions

The proposed fence felt like a cage closing in. She hated how predictable he was. His perfect lawn, his tidy life, and now this. A barrier. She felt an impulse to shatter something.

She stormed out to the garage, grabbed a hammer, and began methodically dismantling the existing flimsy trellis that ran along the property line. She wasn’t going to let that man have his way. Not without a fight.

She heard him come out of his house. She continued to hammer at the wood, the sound echoing in the afternoon air.

"What do you think you're doing?" he shouted.

She looked at him, her eyes blazing, and said nothing, continuing to swing the hammer.
