Gemotions

The thought of it made Amelia want to do a little jig right there in the living room. She'd finally convinced her roommate, David. Today was the day! She twirled, taking a mental inventory of everything she needed: food, water bowl, leash, collar, and of course, a little fluffy friend to bring home.

Amelia’s heart leapt with each step closer to the shelter. She envisioned taking care of the pup, the walks in the park, and the cuddles on the couch. A warm feeling spread through her chest. This tiny, furry creature would fill the apartment with so much love.

David stood, arms crossed, at the doorway, a furrow etched onto his brow. "Amelia, we talked about this..." he began, his voice laced with resignation.

She just grinned, grabbing her keys. "Don't worry, you'll love him! I can't wait!"
