He was staring at her with such a bewildered expression; she almost lost her composure. Across the crowded bookstore, amidst the scent of aging paper and fresh ink, she watched him. She knew this moment would come, but experiencing it first-hand was a different sensation entirely. The man she once knew as Liam – who was now a complete stranger - had a curious wrinkle in his brow. "Have we…?" he began, trailing off. A mischievous glint sparked in her eyes.
