The blog post was a cruel mockery of his past. He felt a profound sense of instability. Every line in the diary was a piece of him, now being judged and ridiculed. He felt a deep, instinctive need to withdraw, to hide, to be shielded from the cruelty of the world. He wanted to go back.

His legs felt like lead. He sat on the floor, unable to move. His thoughts were a tangled mess, each one a sharp pain. He wanted the familiar, the safe. He wanted to know how to navigate this mess.

His mother, she would know what to do. His fingers trembled as he began to dial her number, his only hope for rescue. The mere thought of having to cope without her was unbearable.
