He stared at the screen, his face burning. “Exposed: The Diary of a Lonely Teenager.” The words felt like a brand. His diary, the place where he had allowed himself to be most vulnerable, was now a public spectacle. He wanted the world to stop.

He felt the familiar constriction in his chest, the feeling of being trapped. He was overwhelmed. He needed to be guided, to be told what to do. He found himself gravitating to the kitchen, looking for reassurance.

His mind reeled. He couldn't face this alone. He picked up the phone, and with trembling fingers, he texted his sister, needing her to sort this out for him.
