Gemotions

The metal box shimmered in the late afternoon light. It was small, unassuming. He was supposed to be fishing, but he found it under the bank of the river. He hadn't put it there. He was sure of it. He felt confused.

Inside the time capsule was a small, ornate music box. He opened the lid. A tinkling melody filled the air. The tune felt familiar. He sat there, his head in his hands. He felt a growing sense of panic.
