Gemotions

The drive home was a blur. The radio, usually a source of comfort, grated on his ears. Mark kept replaying the conversation in his head. The new recruit, right out of university, was earning more than him.

He gripped the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles were white. The familiar route, usually etched in his memory, seemed foreign and unfamiliar. His chest felt constricted, as if a weight was pressing down on him.

He slammed the car door when he arrived home and stormed inside. He needed to do something.
