The radio blared the familiar jingle, "Grandma Betty's Biscuits, the taste of home!" Sarah switched off the radio, the silence providing no comfort. She felt a burning sensation in her stomach. That was her grandmother's biscuit recipe, the one she had painstakingly written out, the one she had shared with her Aunt Betty years ago.

She threw her phone across the room. She felt a strange buzzing in her ears. She wanted to scream. She walked to the window and slammed her fists on the glass. The glass didn't break, and the pressure within her remained. She felt as though something precious had been stolen, not just a recipe, but a piece of herself.
