Gemotions

The world felt muted. Sarah shuffled from the house, her gait slow and deliberate, when she saw it - the empty expanse where her car had been parked. The bright orange of the “No Parking” sign, now the only marker, caught her eye. It seemed almost mocking. A sigh escaped her, carrying with it a faint trace of the morning's coffee.

She felt a strange weight in her limbs, a dragging sensation. She turned, heading back inside, and closed the door. She went to the sofa and started to look for the remote.
