The aroma of cinnamon filled the air, a scent that usually invigorated Leo. Today, however, it only seemed to weigh him down. The local bakery was advertising “Sarah’s Sensational Cinnamon Rolls” everywhere. He remembered sending the recipe years ago, with no attribution.

He gazed through the bakery window, watching customers purchase the rolls. They looked perfect. He ran a hand through his hair.
