She needed a distraction from the heavy feeling that clung to her. She found it in the unlocked drawer of Ethan’s desk.

His laptop was turned on, a familiar document open on the screen. The title, "The Silent Garden," was new, but the protagonist's name, "Eliza," was eerily familiar. As she read, a chill spread through her. The character's vulnerabilities, her anxieties, her unspoken fears – they were all laid bare. It was her life, but twisted, intensified, and ultimately, unrecognizable. The air felt thick, difficult to breathe.
