He could barely sit still. Mark kept pacing the living room, glancing out the window every few seconds. He rubbed his hands together, a constant, nervous habit, as the first workers arrived next door. Finally! The announcement of the new landscaping project had lit a fire inside him.

The heavy equipment rumbled, kicking up dust and the smell of freshly turned earth. This was it. This was the fresh start he had been hoping for. A perfectly manicured lawn, vibrant flowerbeds, a tranquil water feature... The possibilities were endless.

He felt a giggle escape him. He needed to get out there, maybe offer the guys some cold water. He had to be involved. He knew he'd spend more time outside. Life was going to be so much better.
