The boarding pass felt like a winning lottery ticket clutched in Anya’s sweaty palm. Freedom! Three glorious weeks away from spreadsheets and deadlines and the soul-crushing beige of her office. She bounced on the balls of her feet, a giggle bubbling up as she skipped towards the duty-free shop. Her best friend's wedding in Tuscany was finally happening! The delays had been a nightmare, but now, finally, the gate was open, and the world was hers. Then, a voice crackled through the speakers, announcing the cancellation of her flight.

Her stomach lurched. Was this a sick joke? Then, a wave of pure, unadulterated *relief* washed over her. Three more days. She had three more days until the ceremony. She could breathe. She could pack better, she could get a massage, and she could buy that ridiculously expensive silk scarf she'd been eyeing.

A huge smile split her face. "Yes!" she practically shouted, startling a nearby businessman. She practically skipped towards the customer service desk to get it all sorted. The extra time would be glorious.
