He nearly dropped the book when the folded paper slid free. Arthur, usually a man of quiet contemplation, let out a whoop that echoed through the antique shop. He’d found a treasure! A letter, pressed between the pages of a first edition, the paper yellowed with age, the ink still legible.

A dizzying warmth suffused him, a feeling that bloomed in his chest and spread outwards to his fingertips. He clutched the letter, his knuckles white. He found himself pacing.

"Unbelievable!" he muttered, his voice barely a whisper. Arthur couldn't wait to read the words, to understand the story this lost missive held. He needed to be alone. He needed to *know*.
